HDTVExpert.com is a web resource for reviews, news, tutorials, and frequently asked questions about high definition television (HDTV) as well as numerous topics that relate directly to it.

On this site, you will find tutorial articles on antennas, receivers, cables, display technology, and video interfaces. You will also find selected reviews of products in all of these categories, as well as analysis of new product and technology demonstrations.

Many of the articles on HDTVExpert.com have also appeared or will appear in other trade and consumer magazines. Credit for those editions and links to the magazine web sites are provided where appropriate.

PETER H. PUTMAN — BIOGRAPHY

 

 

   


Pete Putman is president of ROAM Consulting LLC in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He provides training and product testing/development services to manufacturers of projectors, monitors, integrated TVs, and display interfaces. In addition, Pete edits and publishes HDTVexpert.com, a fast-growing Web site focused on digital TV, HDTV, and display technologies.

Pete has written extensively on HDTV and display technology for numerous consumer and trade magazines, and is a frequent speaker at major trade shows and technical conferences including CES, NAB, the Hollywood Post Alliance Technology Retreat, and InfoComm. He holds a B.A. degree in Communications from Seton Hall University and an M.S. degree in Television and Film from Syracuse University.

Pete is a member of the Academy Faculty for the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA), as well as a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and Society for Information Display (SID). He also holds certifications from the ICIA (Certified Technology Specialist) and the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), and has held Amateur Radio Extra Class license KT2B since 1982.
